Without biogas, a family from Lokhim has to cut down an average of 7 trees per year to have enough firewood for cooking. With biogas, this amount is greatly reduced and at least divided by two. Therefore, this project also has a positive impact on the environment because it reduces the exploitation of nearby forests which size is reducing every year.
