Partners And People

Lokhim Biogas Project exists thanks to the collaboration of 4 organizations:

Lali Gurans Youth Club (Lokhim, Nepal) organizes the training of volunteer villagers, promotes the programme among villagers, operates the micro-credit programme and supervises the plant construction.
The Erasmus-Party team (Leiden, The Netherlands) organizes Leiden's famous fundraising event which proceeds have funded most of the project until today.
Marchés d'Asie ("Asian Markets", France) made the initial donation that enabled the training of 2 Lokhim villagers, triggered the enthusiasm in the village and kicked off the project. Since the beginning, Marchés d'Asie has organized many sales of handicraft products from south-east Asia which profit goes to this project.
Action Himalaya! (Kathmandhu, Nepal) organized the March 2006 expedition, prepares the project logistics and is the contact organization and legal platform of the project in Kathmandhu.
